Throw Pillow Appeal

Decorating your home can be both fun and difficult. Many times I find myself feeling bored with my surroundings, but without the money it would take to completely redecorate. Sometimes a space can just look too sparse and cold. Throw pillows can be an easy solution to each of these unique problems.

If you feel your space needs a little sprucing up start with a more decorative throw pillow. If you are going to be placing them on your couch, or bed it is important to take notice of the pattern and colors of those two things. If you have a patterned couch, or bedspread try to keep the throw pillows in a solid. This will prevent the two patterns from clashing, and becoming overwhelming, or just plain clownish. However, if your bedspread or couch is solid choose any pattern you like to add an interesting style to your place. In the case of either solid or patterned throws it is important to make sure that the pillow contains at least one color that is already in your space. This will help tie your room together, and give you a more complete look.

Throw pillows can also be very functional. If you feel like your space looks empty, and you are looking for a luxurious, comfortable feel, pillows are a perfect tool. Throw pillows can bring a lot of depth to a room, and make it appear more lived in and soft. This can make a stark room appear much more inviting. For very little expense pillows can change the look and feel of your room, and for added variety you can arrange the pillows in a line, or haphazardly throw them in a pile. Throw pillows give you a personal freedom to change your look whenever you want, and make you look like a design maven.
